Star Wars Specialty

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is the newest Star Wars film, and it exhibits a spin-off story that isn’t shown during the original series that came out in the 70s.

This two-hour-long movie is definitely an amazing thriller filled with action and majestic settings.

The plot begins with main character Jyn Erso being captured by the Rebellion. The Rebellion needs her help to steal the plans for the Death Star that can destroy whole planets. Erso encounters many heroes that join her on her journey to demolish the Death Star.

Most sequels are not the best, but this movie was one of the best action films I have ever watched because of its constant missions that might not always go as planned.

Yet, I was kind of disappointed by all of the death. Many characters die off, which left me distraught and confused because most memorable movies have happy endings.

The characters really did their jobs well. My favorite character, Chirrut Îmwe, was a blind wise man that added some comedy to the film.

Îmwe is played by Donnie Yen who is a martial artist in the traditional Wing Chun style. Because of him, this style of martial arts has increased in popularity, and hundreds of new Wing Chun schools have been opened.

Also, the new robot K-2SO, played by Alan Tudyk, adds some humor to the movie by making judgemental comments about Erso. Tudyk is mainly known for doing voice-overs in Disney movies, such as Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Zootopia and Moana.

Perhaps the best part of the movie was the valuable teamwork that destroyed the Death Star in the end. Without that teamwork, the characters would have never completed their plans to foil evil.
I recommend this movie to action seekers who really love science fiction films.
