Last weekend, the debate team went to Fremd High School and the University of Michigan debating topics on background checks for all gun sales and wealthy nations providing assistance to those countries in need. The University of Michigan tournament students Deja Austin & Levale Vann placed 5th, Levale Vann placed 4th and Lindsay Garrett & Taylor Nash took 7th overall. At Fremd High School, JV competitors, Lawrencia Palmer placed 5th and Nandi Smith took 4th.
