Five Things Students Need to Know
More than halfway through the school year, The Voyager decided to give the students a quick five things they need to know for the fourth quarter.
The first major event that is approaching quickly in April is the all school testing day. Wednesday, April 13th, all juniors and seniors who didn’t take it during the 2020-21 will be taking the SAT. Students must report to the school by 7:30.
Moving up to the seniors if you aren’t taking the SAT on 4/13 then you will have the day off. April 14th will be an asynchronous day for all seniors.
Second, the freshman and sophomore classes will be asynchronous on the thirteenth. On the 14th they will be taking the PSAT. On Friday April 15, there will be no school as it is a school holiday.
Thirdly, fast forwarding to May senior activities will be happening this year. The class of 2022 will be having the first normal prom in two years. Prom is open to juniors and seniors, and tickets will go on sale today Mon. April 6.
The Junior class of 2023 will be presenting prom and it will be held May 7th. In addition to this, another festivity is the Senior Bon Voyage. On Fri. May 20th from 7-11 p.m, seniors will be able to enjoy a night of: jumbo games, a silent dance party, superlatives and prizes.
The event they have been anticipating all year will occur on Sunday May 29, 2022. Graduation will be held on the football field if the weather permits.
May is packed with many fun activities for the seniors but unfortunately for the rest of the school it means finals.
Second semester finals will be happening. The fourth week of May is planned out to be finals week. The schedule has yet to be determined but. All grade levels should prepare to end the semester and school year off with a bang. The last day for freshmen, sophomores and juniors is May 26.
With only eight weeks left for freshman sophomores and juniors push through and it with a bang. Only seven weeks left for the seniors so maintain great behavior and have fun at all the upcoming events.
