I am a November baby; my birthday is Nov. 14, which is in the middle of the month. Although I always have fun, it is always hard to plan.
November is in the middle of Halloween and Christmas, with Thanksgiving in the middle. Which usually means you will never get a lot of presents. which sounds greedy, but it’s not!
In my opinion your birthday is only one day of the year where people have to pay all their attention to you. And about greediness I don’t think it is greedy to want gifts, to get gifts and know that people want to celebrate you makes you feel good about yourself.
Imagine you are celebrating your birthday and 90% of the time, a good chunk of people can’t come because they are busy or decorating, or don’t want to spend too much since it is the beginning of the holidays.
Before November is Halloween where people spend money on candy and decorations and it is the month of black friday and before christmas so family and friends are paying more attention to that and not wanting to spend money because they want to save.
Also, don’t get me started on the weather conditions. It’s either really cold out, raining or snowing. On my birthday, it is rarely good weather. I usually have to bundle up because I am way too cold.
Whenever I don’t want to celebrate during the cold, I’ve always thought of celebrating during the summer or spring. I was wondering if that would be a good idea or if I should just deal with the pain of cold weather forever.
What about planning? Almost every one of my birthdays is a sleepover, which sounds fun, but it gets tiring after a while. You can’t go to the beach in the snow. You can’t go outside because of the weather. I’ve always struggled with planning because I do like nature and I would want an outside birthday but to do mother nature it is hard to actually have it.
Not to mention, even though there are places such as Sky Zone and Odyssey Fun World, once you start to grow up to 15-17 years old, they don’t become as fun as they used to be. Usually, my main thing I would do is to go out and eat but you run out of places after a while. I’m a picky eater which makes my choices limited to begin with, also during the holidays lots of places are too busy to deal with waits and lines so I unusually stick with what I know.
November is also the start of seasonal depression, which I know some people don’t believe in, but I do. This is the time of year where school starts to actually get serious is about a month away from finals.
Yes, I get very excited when it is my birthday, but at the same time, I am always mentally tired from school and work and done with everyone during the month. I mean, on my birthday weekend, I did homework both days while I should be out having fun!
Not to mention being a Scorpio sucks. November babies from Oct. 24 to Nov.22 are scorpio while from Nov.22 to Dec. 21 are Sagittarius, which are astrology star signs. Lots of people who believe in star signs say Scorpios are these mean people who are just cruel, which I don’t see whatsoever.
At the end of the day I am still very grateful that I have the opportunity to celebrate my birthday in the first place.
