The H-F speech team won first place for their Novice tournament at Eisenhower High school Nov. 4th. Students Jonathan Kriarakis (Original Oratory), and Ava Jones (Poetry Reading) were tournament champions along with 15 other students who broke into final rounds. That same day, Varsity speechies had their first tournament of the season at Downers Grove North. Competitors placed 6th. Students Joey Cipriano (Extemporaneous Speaking) and Nia Deramus (Original Comedy) placed 2nd in the tournament. This Saturday Novice members are going to Revis while Varsity competes at Thornton.
