H-F Photography Classes Take to the Streets

Brooklyn Edwards, Sophomore

“I Want to Ride My Bicycle”

Recently, photography classes at H-F took to the streets to practice the art of “street photography,” a visual genre that focuses on true-to-life encounters with human subjects.

Rebecca Healy, an H-F fine arts and photography teacher, says that aside from “strong focal point and composition,” students were required to produce “a mix of candid and posed street images,” such as sophomore Ucheoma Onwueyi’s candid “Day at the Farmer’s Market” and senior Histore Lagrone’s posed “Break Dancin’.”

Students’ work is featured in the gallery below.
