This is the Way to Excite Star Wars Fans Again

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, a lone bounty hunter by the name of Din Djarin began his journey to find a young child that was wanted across the galaxy. After being chased across the galaxy by imperial forces throughout season one, Din and the child eventually escape the danger and are safe from commander Moff Gideon.

That’s until the final scene where Gideon survives the shipwreck after it was taken down by Din Djarin in the season finale of “The Mandalorian.”

With the conclusion of season one, the great John Favreua and Dave Filoni were credited with revamping the Star Wars that fans love and know after season one of “The Mandalorian.” The finale left fans excited and wanting more for season two.

Season two is a continuation of Din’s quest to bring the child, also known as “Baby Yoda,” to safety. Just like the first season, each episode gets better and better.

The production was full of talent with directors like Favreau, Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Peyton Reed, Robert Rodriguez and Carl Weathers who were bound to create a series of episodes full of adventure, emotion and a hint of humor.

During the early filming stages of the show, Favreau wanted to use virtual technology to design his own set. Instead of following the same old green screen routine like many other films, the crew decided to create digital environments that were rendered on a video wall in real time.

In doing this, the actors could see everything that was happening in the scene instead of having to act in front of a green screen not really knowing their surroundings.

When it comes to actors, season one introduced the fans to several news characters. We met the bounty hunter droid IG-11, Mando’s partners in crime Cara Dune and Greef Karga and the fan favorite, the child.

Season two however brings back some familiar faces from the Skywalker Saga such as Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, Bo Katan and even a special guest in the season finale.

Pedro Pascal continued his mysterious narrative as the Mandalorian, kicking butt across the galaxy. Rosario Dawson became the perfect fit for the beloved Clone Wars character Ahsoka, and left fans wondering what her future will look like in the upcoming productions.

But the collaboration of actors in the finale caps it all off, giving us the action, thrill, and emotion that left fans in awe.

The script gave the fans everything they wanted, not only about Din and Grogu’s story but the side stories of other characters. Bringing in characters such as Boba Fett and Ahsoka gives us a sneak peek of their own series in 2022 and in late 2021.

Not only will we see “The Book of Boba Fett” and “Ahsoka” on Disney plus, but Evan Mcgregor and Hayden Christensen will return in the much anticipated series “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” along with countless other shows in 2022.

Overall, season two of the Mandalorian is a must watch for anyone who has seen the Skywalker Saga. This action packed series full of cuteness and a little bit of comedy is only a taste of how Disney and John Favreau can continue the legacy of George Lucas.

The last four episodes are absolutely phenomenal. They bring the show up to a whole other level that competes with “The Clone Wars,” and the last episode is an emotional rollercoaster.

With that being said, I would rate the Mandalorian season two a 9.2 out of 10. I’m super excited for season three which comes out in late 2021, and like many other Star Wars geeks, I cannot wait to see what the future holds for the next Lucasfilm projects.
