Tips on traveling from North to South

Tips on traveling from North to South

You can burr-ely stand it. The slippery ice and the brisk cold, but now it’s time for class!

Since H-F Students have learned to navigate the trips from North to South Building regardless of weather changes, harsh conditions are nothing new to us.

But just how are H-F students keeping safe and warm during this cold winter season? For some the cold never bothered us anyways and preferred it over any hot summer day. While others wrap up in our thickest coats and reliable pair of cozy boots. However, winter presents us with more problems than just our daily wardrobe.

Slick ice covers all paths to class and you hear music, now you’re running! Suddenly you slip and your body goes up into the air. That wouldn’t have been an issue if you had been more careful and not running late to class. To avoid the icy paths that stand ahead, wear more grippable boots. Remember that slow and steady wins the race and pace yourself in a timely manner.

Uncomfortable colds and shivers overcome our bodies as we wait to find soothing warmth       inside each building just enough to become cold again once we go back out.So remember to layer up! You’d be surprised how an extra shirt or hat can keep you warm throughout the day and stop sharp winds from hitting you.The more you layer the less you’ll be affected.

Don’t stress yourself with traffic jams or taking extreme measures in order to be on time. Get a good night’s rest in order to be refreshed in the morning with breakfast and leave out a little earlier.  You’ll see how big of a difference it makes. Remember to buckle up and be cautious of icy streets.

At some point in most of our days we have to go outside during school and face whatever is out there. Turn checking your weather app each morning into a daily habit to inform yourself on the weather’s status throughout the day so you’re aware on how to properly prepare yourself no matter where you are.

Random rain, blizzards and even slippery ice paths have nothing against H-F students because we are ready for whatever awaits this frosty season.
