“I first became interested in photography by simply taking pictures in everyday situations. Over time, I started paying more attention to lighting, composition and perspective, which made me appreciate the art behind each image.” said senior Amari Day.
Photography captures moments of highlights in your life that have meaning to you. It puts more effort into capturing moments by taking it to the next level through editing and camerawork.
The photograph focuses on capturing a specific mood and atmosphere. One of the main challenges was working with lighting, as it greatly affects the overall tone of the image. Finding the right angle was also important, since even small adjustments can change the composition. “The easiest part was developing the concept, as I had a clear idea of what I wanted the photo to convey,” said Day.
Capturing moments of her life, making adjustments to photos, may encourage people who are getting into photography to be passionate about it.
“I would encourage them to be patient and not focus too much on perfection. Growth comes with practice, and it is important to learn from mistakes. Paying attention to details like lighting and composition can make a big difference. Most importantly, they should stay confident and continue developing their own,”Day said.
