”Tron: Ares,” a science fiction movie detailing the battle between bikes and code, came out on Oct. 10. The movie was an hour and 59 minutes long, rated PG-13, with a 4.3 review on Google.

The movie was okay-ish, some things being good and others being bad; more talking, less fighting was the motto.

The storyline was good and comprehensible. Evan Peters plays Julian Dillinger, the villain who claims he wants to make the world a better place, trying to sell what he can make with AI to the military, despite his mother being against it. Then there is Greta Lee, who plays Eva Kim, the CEO of Encom, who also wants what is best for the world so that her sister’s search can continue.

Somewhere in the cold, snowy mountains lies  “the chip.” This chip is a code that can make anything from the digital world come to Earth permanently. Encom and the Dillinger System are both seeking to find this code.

Eva Kim finds it. Seeing if it works, testing it, by making an orange tree that stands for four hours —meaning they found the code, which is amazing, considering the longest something has stood for was twenty-nine minutes.

Dillinger finds them and wants the chip. So, he sends in an error that goes out after her, sending Kim into their error world. A fight breaks out between Ares and Athena because Ares disobeys Dillinger’s orders, when Ares was supposed to kill her to get his hands on the code.

Fighting to leave through the portal, using their laser swords, battling it out to try to get back into the real world, and trying to get back to Encom.Gladly, Ares finds the permanence code inside Kim’s subconscious mind, while Athena waits for him to leave the world. A fight breaks out between the two.

Because Ares found the permanence, he now has to fight Athena, fighting until one falls. In which Ares wins and switches over to white, leaving his red color. The police raid Dillinger’s warehouse, and Dillinger, not wanting to go to jail, puts himself into the error world.

Overall, I’d recommend seeing this movie if you like action. The movie was good, and the camera angles were on point with the multitude of angles during the fight scene. Mood and tone were those of sadness and happiness of emotions, and the storyline felt balanced with not too much talking, but not a lot of fighting, being short.

In a way, this movie is about AI. A person could do a lot with that power, just like Dillinger is using it for bad, trying to find the code of permanence, which caused a lot of damage.

So, if you like action and the question of why, then this movie is for you; if not, then best stay home.
