The final four

This year NCAA men’s basketball has been a great one, with the final four teams made up leaving the world wondering: who will win it all?

 

The four teams in this tournament consist of Uconn, NC State, Alabama, and Purdue . These teams will match up against each other in hope to make it to the championship game and possibly winning it all that will occur on April 8th. The match up’s are NC State vs Purdue, and Uconn vs Alabama. With Star guard With Uconn’s star guard Tristen Newton averaging 15.1 points 6.6 rebounds and 6.2 assist

Another heavy favorite to win it is NC State with star forward Dj Burns, having an outstanding season all around this year. Averaging 12.5  points 4.8 rebounds and white shooting 56.1% from the field.  Will he be able to lead his team to the championship game and win it all? 

 

This year has been a fantastic year for Purdue after having an outstanding season with a record of 34-4 This team was very underrated and unexpected to have such a good season as they had. With Star center Zach Edey averaging 25.2 points per game with 12.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists.  The world will be watching to see if they can overcome all of the adversity and win it all.

Another heavy underdog is Alabama state with a record of 25-12, they have had an outstanding season. 

According to Foxsports.com “ The Huskies are favored at sportsbooks across the nation, but Purdue and Zach Edey recently named the Naismith Men’s College player of the Year for a second consecutive year, will look to play spoiler.” 

 

On April 6th, Uconn  did what most thought they expected from them. Defeating  Alabama, Uconn ended up winning the game 86-72 with a great game from guard Stephon Castle with 21 points , 2 assists , and 5 rebounds. Uconn has advanced to the finals to play Purdue, after defeating NC state 63-50. With an outstanding game from Zach Edey, with 20 points and 12 rebounds and 4 assists to help win the game for a shot to win it all.

On April 8th, Uconn made history after winning the NCAA championship against Purdue 70- 60. With an outstanding game from Tristen Newton, with 20 points 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Purdue put up a great fight with Zach Edey scoring 37 points, and 10 rebounds. 

Now that the season has ended, it’s safe to say this year for college basketball has been a historical one and one to remember with many great talents.
